Our Mission
The Zine Club is a creative haven for students passionate about self-expression through the art of homemade, self-published magazines. Our mission is to empower members to explore and develop their creativity through hands-on, manual techniques, or digital graphic design tools in a supportive and collaborative environment. We value creativity, community, and discovery, and strive to provide a space where ideas can flourish freely. Through our projects, we aim to help members refine their skills and work towards creating sellable, one-of-a-kind zines. Ultimately, we hope to culminate our efforts by hosting a Zine Fest, where members can showcase and sell their work, sharing their unique voices with the broader community.
Our Purpose
The Zine Club exists to provide students with a creative space where they can explore self-expression through DIY publishing, gaining hands-on experience with both manual and digital design techniques. It benefits the student body by fostering collaboration, encouraging the exchange of diverse ideas, and offering a platform for students to voice their unique perspectives through handmade zines. By working on projects together and preparing for events and social field trips where members can display and sell their work, students also gain entrepreneurial and artistic skills, contributing to a more vibrant and dynamic campus culture.

Membership is open to all current San Diego Mesa College students.
